The traditional village of Wae Rebo is located in the district of Manggarai – Flores has received the Top Award of Excellence from UNESCO in the 2012 UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Awards, announced in Bangkok on 27 August 2012. Wae Rebo is a small, very out of the way village. Situated on around 1,100 meters above sea level and approximately 2,5 – 3 hour travel by foot from Denge village, it is completely surrounded by panoramic mountains and the forest.
Tour program and itinerary as follows :
Day 1 : Labuan Bajo – Lembor – Denge Village – Wae Rebo (L, D)
Breakfast at your hotel then pick up by our representative or tour guide for driving to Lembor. Take some pictures to the biggest riece field in Lembor. Keep driving to Repi beach for relaxing and pictures. Continue driving to Denge village. Arrival at Denge village start trekking to Wae Rebo village about 2 – 2,5 hour. Arriving at Wae Rebo village, guests are welcoming in main house (mbaru niang) for doing the ceremony (wae lu’u). Then go to homestay for having coffee or tea, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Wae Rebo – Denge Village – Wae Nakeng – Labuan Bajo (B, L)
Morning wakes up for walking around Wae Rebo traditional village, take pictures and see the activity or interect with local people. Breakfast at your homestay then go down to Denge village for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, driving to Labuan Bajo with stop at Wae Nakeng to see the spider web riece field. After enjoying and take picture continue driving to Labuan Bajo for dropp off to hotel in Labuan Bajo.
The price is start from IDR 7 million for 2 people. For additional participants will be charged and additional price.
